I could use a little feedback here

As a scooter rider I'm riding down the road and there's this cyclist coming towards me on the other side of the road and cars will swing right over the white line and into MY lane to avoid hitting him/them.
As a solution I reckon they ought to make a law that says that if a cyclist wants to ride on the road, that they should have a right mirror, so that they'll be able to see what's coming up behind them and they'll have time to manouver THEMSELVES out of the way instead of US having to do it for them!
Fact is that they already get their OWN piece of the road for FREE, so why can't they just stay in it! After all they don't need a licence or have ACC levies to pay and I'd say that bugger-all of them own property and pay for the upkeep of the roads out of THEIR rates. I heard (just lately actually) they've been moaning about scooters wanting to share THEIR lane. Hell if it's only a 50 whassa big deal, it's not that much faster than a cyclist anyway!

I ride a Honda FJS600 Silver Wing Maxi-scooter that does 0-100 in 6.3 seconds and she'll do 116mph with 2 up. As there were only 3 ever imported to NZ they are often mistaken for being a Suzuki 250 which has a similar body shape. She may LOOK like a step through, but she handles just like a motorbike and truth is that she's actually faster than some of them Harleys and it sure makes you wonder why anyone would want one of them. I heard some of them are actually made by Honda these days anyhow.
I reckon that owning a Harley was cool in the 1950's when only 1 fella in the whole country had 1. Now you have to get up real close because some of them aren't Harleys at all but are only lookalikes.

It's just inadequate driving skills from car drivers...no need to be over in the opposite lane even when theres a parked car.

Ever thought to blame the car drivers for over taking into on coming traffic? Its not the cyclists fault that car drivers in christchurch are willing to run people off the road to get home 1 minute faster.

    A great first post

You have your headlight on so cars coming the other way WILL see you. You will be safe as you are wearing your crash helmet. And ... if you are hurt ... those ACC levies you pay ... may go part of the way to pay for your medical costs in your recovery.

Fact is ... those cyclists probably pay more tax than you do ... and HAS paid more tax than you have. Unless you know this to be untrue ... (as you know each of those cyclists personally) .... it may not be a great idea to make such bold statements.

Now I know you're taking the piss ... a scooter faster than a Harley. AND ... a honda at that.

I reckon you're an idiot ... prove me wrong if you can (some manage to) ... but you'll have to come up with better successive posts than your first one.

    Yeah, it looks like a step-through. That's because it is a step-through.

It sure doesn't make me wonder why anyone would want a Harley.

To be fair, it sounds like he has short man syndrome, so it might not actually be a step through for him.

You forgot to add that all bike crashes are the fault of car drivers, it's kool to typ txt spk, and that your local dealer ripped you off.
