How accurately could anyone gauge the speed of a bike I wonder though.

I'm not onside with the rider, so don't start flaming me for being one the morons who want to blame anyone but him. I just wouldn't trust witness reports of speed, as far as I could throw said witnesses.

In all likelyhood the estimates are on the low side, an R1 is good for 140kph in first gear after all. I just don't think any inaccurate information should be admissible.

Anything is admissible on KB - after all you post here

But the guy was doing a semi-stoppie trying to stop - his rear wheel was leaving a black strip on the road each time it touched down.

And from first touch to impact was 43 metres.

So I doubt he was doing 50kph.

I know damn well the guy was going faster than 50k's.

I'm not trying to wind anyone up, not trying to defend anything, I am merely asking the question.

This is KB, and I my question was more about what would happen come time for charges to be laid in the real world.

    Charges?
Apart from riding when he already had his licence cancelled and possibly pissed there's enough info coming through (and not just for the crash) to lead to a dangerous driving charge.

\not that it matters but when he DID have a licence it was a 1R.
