    Tampered exhaust?

I have a Honda CM200T with an exhaust that looks like this...

Seems to me like someone has tampered with the exhaust (I suspect to change the tone of it). Does this sound right or is this the way it should be?

Assuming it has been tampered with does anyone have ideas for the best way to set things right?

    Cheers
    Shaun

Cut it off and run a straight pipe.

    Duh.

You'll need to post an audio file rather than a photo if you want an answer to that question.

That's an after market muffler. Someone has plugged up some of the outlet holes with dried cum to try to reduce the racket.

See those 3 nuts - if you undo them you can pull out the muffler core. Provided it is not all rusted up. The perferated core should be tightly wrapped with a suitable 4 stroke muffler packing - that is what will reduce the noise. Re-pack that bad boy sir.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the responses. It is a noisy beast. With try checking the core and see what the result is. I will take an audio of before and after and if needed will post these up to get further advice.

    Cheers,
    Shaun
