Delayed by kids didn't get to the Shell till 10:40....nobody there so I carried on. Obviously too slow to catch anyone ahead. Stopped at the pub after the Kopu bridge and was told about 30 riders had gone through 30 minutes before. Stopped and had a ginger beer and chatted to another rider that was telling me the tar was all melted in places in the loop. So decided to shorten the trip and return home. Whilst chilling saw an accident at the T junction. Car starts to turn right into the path of an oncoming car. Car brakes ...smack. Nobody seriously injured, though the passenger of the car going straight on was complaining her chest hurt. So if a turning car doesn't see a car coming the other way, what chance a bike.

Roads were pretty busy on the way home. As I went up SH1 it looked like Andy and another rider exiting Autobhan southbound around 2 pm.

Well I can chill this afternoon, clean and fettle the bike and be ready for another blast.

well Andrew and I did our own ride today, around 1pm, the usual clevedon kaiaua loop... great ride but due to stinking hot and slippery tar we couldnt push anything too much... One thing i was incredibly impressed about (aside from all other aspects of your riding andrew) was his takeoff's! dunno if its him or the bike but i was hard pressed to get a bike length in on the 400! and how that 250 ran... mm goes quicker then i rememberd in the last kb ride.

-argh and to think so many KB'ers out riding, shoulda just tried txting you blu, coulda caught up and joined in on the ride.. and riddin for longer... Oh and FF i bloody blame you for making me ride today and not going home to gf and blah blah (heh thanks dude! just remember your my excuse)

Damn - missed them all! Had some troublesome rear calipers that didn't want to bleed properly - i think i spent about 2 hours pumping the brake by hand with the brake fluid moving backwards and forwards the same amount

All sorted for track day on Friday now tho!

heya FireFight, here are the pics of your R6, well only 1 but i resized the smaller one to fit as ur Avatar... sorry its got stuffed up colours on handlebars, it was a stinking hot and bright day and the Sony Erricson T610 camera doesnt seem to handle in those conditions... also made the image rounded... interesting.
