Bugger, we were hoping you'd make it and stay the weekend this time.

Don't think I can make that weekend work
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Time for the more details, this is from memory so I stand to be corrected by those organised than me who took notes.

The GP is a national title so to compete you need the full national licence, for those without the full licence we will be running a non GP class so plenty of racing anyway I'm going to call the non GP class FT for Formula Tokoroa from now on, just for shits and giggles.

    Saturday

11am start to give people a chance to get there and get signed on,sign on will close at 11 so don't be later than that. Running the transponder system late entries cause huge headaches.

Practice sessions by grade. F4, F5, FT and sidecars not necessarily in that order. These will be used to make sure all the transponders are working and possibly to set grids

Fun races in all the classes, last race for the day will be the sidecar GP or GP length race if we don't get enough entries. Race length by negotiation, general opinion seems to be that a two lap race is an endurance race for sidecars, should be at least twenty.

    Sunday

Practice, possibly qualifying then F5, FT, F4 races in that order

    F5 GP 30 laps
    FT 30 or 40 laps
    F4 40 laps

Shake hands, have a beer, go home.

    Entry fees
    $40 for the weekend
$20 transponder hire if you don't have your own
$20 day licence if you need one for the non GP classes.

Have you got the supplementary regs for FT? I want to make sure my bike qualifies.

Hang on i don't have a national licence so do i run my sidecar in Formula Tokoroa and can i start off the front ? Sometimes trying to complete one lap can be an endurance race; just ask Seymour he nearly pushed my sidecar for a whole lap

Skunk, step up, I'll race you for a bottle of port. F4 or F5, your choice.

Wildman, we've had bicycle races there before now, a foot race isn't out of the question.

Here is a flyer for the GP and all the other racing we are going to have in Tokoroa next month. Should be enough to sway all those who are indecisive about coming.

Have been in touch with the good folks from Tokoroa.
They are cool with camping Friday night. And we have a way to get they keys off them when we turn up.

One thing they are adamant about is that we leave the place in as good a condition or better than we found the place which is understandable, so please bring a rubbish bag each so you can take your own junk home at the end of the weekend.
