Urgent! SV650 triple clamps & tree

Hi, urgently needed is a set of triple clamps for a 99 Suzuki SV650. Or just the top bit if you have just that. I'm not really fussy about where you might be, I'm willing to pickup almost anywhere in the North Island, or will pay for a good courier. I need these before next weekend, or I'm not racing. Please call O21 212 6O42 or PM me here.

A bloke in the states made me a fancy top triple for my TLS years back thats still in the shed somewhere, long shot but possibly the top triple made for a 98TLS will fit a 99 SV650.Cant remember the details but a bloke on the TL site years ago fittedd TL forks to his daughters SV,if you can find out if it will fit i can send it up as long as you send it back, ive since fitted a GSXR front end to the TL but didnt use the top triple but intend to.

That might work, if I can't track one down in time I'll get back to you. Where abouts are you?

    You could measure it instead...

Measure the fork size... 45mm or something...
Measure the fork center to center.
    Measure the middle clamp size.
Measure the thickness in the middle.

    Compare to SV650

    Could be because:

1/ You aren't allowed to run them in the raceclass for this bike

2/ He needs them by next weekend not next month/year

3/ Do you have any idea what a CNC tripleclamp would cost?

On the Triple clamp problem. You should be able to run an injected model top clamp if the middle hole gets sleeved as the top nut is marginally bigger. Hole centers and offset appear to be the same. I'm running injected front end in 1999 triples

Cheesmethod.--There is apsolutely NO promises here but try Toby at auckland motorcycle services.8351172 or 0274456568.
He MIGHT be able to help you.
Alternatively could I ask what race class you are in? -If its PT I can't help but if F3 You could BORROW the front end from my K7 Gixxer 600 to get you through the weekend

Nice offer Frosty but have you ever fitted a GSXR front end into a carbed SV650?

They just swap into the injected models no problem but on the carbed model the top bearing is the issue. One work around is to get a really thin walled tapper roller bearing custom ground. Another is to press out the yokes and fit the SV one to the GSXR bottom triple after its built up or shimmed.
