Buckets can run in the Development Class at Nationals

Did you know you can run your Bucket in the Development Class at Taupo?

If you fit these rules then you can. And it's a Club Licence. The Entry form is on our website.

See these two threads for other info and gossip.

Go on do it , its great, and it shows the powers that be what buckets really are, proper race bikes not something that you look down your nose at.
My neighbours diary says I have boundary issues

I got all excited then read the regulations and realised that a lot of buckets won't meet these regulations. Particularly because they're a mix of many bike parts and hardly resemble the original bike when they were rolled out from the factory.

Not to discourage because I think it's great! I may have to think harder about how to meet these regulations for some larger track fun in the future

As long as your bucket meets bucket regulations then you are sweet.
Those regs are for the other classes also grouped into Development class

I am dead keen to get there, anyone else up for it ??

I have a trailer with heaps of space to take up someone's bucket from Welly. Of course you wont be riding it, I will be. I'm talking to you Richard.

Being serious, I have trailer space and I can help transport 1 bucket bike and gear if needed. Flick me a message (or text/phone call if you have my number) to arrange this.

    DEVELOPMENT CLASS SUPP REGS

    . . . .
    2. The motorcycles are not to be 125GP bikes

    Right; No Suzuki GP125s.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Tided up my desk today and found the full set of results for the 2011 F4 GP when it was run recently on the old Taupo track.

So you're pointing out that I am at the bottom of the list (standing at the side watching with a bust ignition, again).
Don't you look at my accountant.

I am only a few places ahead of you in the DNF list and I don't have any real excuses, I just wasn't enjoying it and wimped out.

All good bro I have a dispensation to run my bucket in protwin so I can give you the smash. So will be there anyway.

I am going. Should be fun.

Pretty sure your bucket would be faster and handle better than my Pro Twin. Cool cya there!

If it meets Bucket regs it's fine. There is a mix of different rules in there and it's badly worded. You can also run 250 Proddie bikes and Streetstock bikes in this class. Plus other bikes that meet the various regs listed.

Oh sweet, yeah the wording is fairly bad. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, pretty keen when all is sorted and I'm not flogged by work
