Thanks again to all involved n making the whole series happen. Not a bad weekend away in amongst the lot.
For this round an extra thanks to the long suffering Bennett clan for letting us invade their home, and be a bunch of standard issue bucket racers at an away meet with lots of highly sensible behaviour and feeding us, and allowing us to steal their alcohol when we ran out.
Thanks also to Kamil for cooking me breakfast and splitting the driving with me.

Me and Cricket dropped in to watch on Sunday and have a chat. Awesome racing and as usual everyone helping out. We waved flags for a bit and had a top spot to view the rider taking the fast line on the grass bank up and around the little shed, bypassing the start/finish, and rejoining at the end of the straight. Pretty sure he didn't finish the lap. Reagan's move on Rick was brave but didn't come off. It looked wicked from where I was and I could see he limped off so it had to hurt. It wasn't slowing him down in the next race so can't have been too bad.

Re the transponders not working. I did see one rider being told on the start line his transponder wasn't being detected. He had it in his leathers, silly boy. There's a reason everybody else puts them low on the front forks.

As per last visit Grant made some remark about possibly staying the night, so we did. As per last visit I drank his booze and we put a dent in a stack of Hell pizza followed up with a bbq brekky. Much appreciated Grant.

Shame more riders weren't there, awesome track and organisation but unfortunately serious access issues with the complaining lady over the road.

Sounds like it was a good meeting would love to have tried the sidecar there, maybe next year if it's used again. Running a couple of karts there at Blossom meeting in September, maybe i'll drag the sidecar along too they might let me run it at lunch break. Hey Henk did you's take your tricycle?

Other than that, pretty easy and cool having transponders and getting to see the official lap times!! Awesome!!

I might be on the reserve bench at silly mid-off though, with my camera me thinks.

A third A-Grade video to be posted very shortly.

Had a blast, cheers for the bike Grant Definatly blew the cobwebs out, 1st time on a bike in a year
Sorry fellas I was timing the b grade races and I didn't pick up on any off this, I was under the impression that all the transponders where working fine. I will be more vigilant in future.

Well Jase not to sure what I could have done in that case, guess i would have been a lap down too, not that i finished anyway!

Well you can't really expect the system to work off the tarmac.... Good on you two for the massive effort that went into the timing over the entire series.

Side note. The series trophies; were they made up of all the parts and oil left at at Tokoroa the year before????

Had a front row seat for that one. Didn't see you go off, but caught you out of the corner of my eye, high up the hill behind the sheds. Thought for a moment that a kid was up there on a dirt bike, then realised it was a bucket when it started coming down towards the top corner and got in between us. Saw the t-bone at the pit gate corner and appeared that #46 was half off the bike as a result, then you both parted, then smack. Was not good to watch , glad you were both able to walk away.
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death. (HT)
