It might hit 160 before seizing then cartwheeling on fire into the shrubbery. Might.

Only if it's down hill ... even then ... it will probably seize well before 160 klicks ..

Geeeze what a dreamer, it isnt even in a high condition...
160kph?? Nah it's a ram air.. at its very best, would be 150, MAYBE... they were nowhere as quick as the 250 triples and RD's of the day... the GT250A that replaced them was 'up there' with the others.

As was the GT250R that immediately preceeded the Ram Air models. My GT250R was timed at 151 kmh in the flying 1/4 at School Rd, Mosgiel in1972. The speedo showed over160 on entering the 1/4 and around 180 at the end, so was way out.
    Time to ride

The best I had out of my ram air 250 in the late 70's was 95 MPH on Portobello Rd Dn.

Good luck with the sale. It's certainly cool looking, even with cheap pod filters. If it was cheaper I'd consider buying it to ruin it.

    which was around 85mph actual....

Have to admit I would have a ram air GT550 though, I still think they look good.... and the ONLY 500cc bracket triple I would consider owning. H1's are best left as a 'pleasant'?? memory

fuck yeah RDs 3k is a bit steep though with mileage that high don't ya think? Might help if you gave an overview of its history... when it last had a top end/bottom end/crank rebuild, chain and sprockets replaced etc... I'd be worried it'd blow up after 240,000 km lol.
