ADSL2+ Box

TelstraClear's now Vodafone (not a fan of Vodafone, at all!) & they've failed to offer a decently competitive package for quite some time now, this coupled with their "different" billing method (it tends to go up faster than any other ISP's I've ever been with) which I've ignored in the past as they had competitive pricing, means it's time to consider heading back to a ADSL2+ service.

So I'm gonna need a ADSL2+ box. Wireless is optional (it'll prob be disabled anyways), would like at-least 2 etherweb ports, cheap is good & reliable is a must (cause I don't like resetting the fuckers & it's not gonna be easily accessible)

What brands/models would ya'll recommend?
Does anyone use the TP-Links are they any good? they're nice n cheap

I gots a thomson st536 v6 single ethernet port adsl2+ modem that's sitting unused in a box iffen ye wants it for fwee.

Good to here the TP-Links work well at around 30-50$ they're some of the most affordable out there & most also can take DD-WRT firmware, not that I think I'd have much use for it.
But I do like the price of Mashmans Thompson only single port but that's all this TC one is anyways so It's manageable, just means like now the PS2 won't be connected. Might have to relive you of your free (presumedly) Telecom modem then Mashman

Next up it'll be finding & switching ISP's... I'm thinking Snap! if anyone has any thoughts on them

Best ISP ever. I changed from Telstra to Snap due to the extortion-like prices that TC charge. No traffic shaping either.

I've put DD-WRT on a Linksys wireless access point, nice to be able to crank up the power output a bit and play with a few other settings as well
