    Hey everyone...

Yep i managed to get the shock in and found some transport... Turned up late (just before 12) But that was ok as one of the open wheelers had dumped its guts around most of the track...

The shock now has a lighter weight oil so was softer than last time... I went out there with the want to go faster everywhere... Well i managed to do that, In the first session I lapped everyone except for on race GSX-R1000 and one race GSX-R600 (out of 20 odd bikes)... the majority of bike were of the 1000cc class, with a couple of 400's and RS250's, and starting to feel far more comfortable on the bike...

Rough lap times were done, i was averaging 1:08's, 1:09's and the odd 1:10 with plenty of traffic around... Best i heard of was 1:08.4 but these are rough times...

Ive come away from the day at the track being faster everywhere, and the knowledge that i can go faster everywhere still as well... the 16 tooth sprocket will be going in the front to see if that can make me a bit quicker with the exit out of the hairpin...

Had a couple of moments exiting the hairpin with some slides from the back... Great to see some KBer's there

Next track day i will be on the GSX-R600 (mid september) but the 400 will be there too...

Make sure you get out there and have a go at the track, i could see all the road riders improve as the day went on, which then improves your road riding

Well I enjoyed it. I went down to spectate, I came accross everyone at BP Paps by chance then motored down. My intention was to spectate but it was sooo frustratin watching everyone out there on such a belter of a day. Bugjuice and I were desperate to get out.

So cheers to the dude who let me ride his Valkryie (now that's a big bike) and cheers Limmy for the laps on your cbr. Your cbr rocks, knee down action and easy wheelies too! Next time I'll get the YZF out on the track.

Wahoooooo - I got my photo taken!!!

I had such an awesome day on the gsxr600. I was very nervous on the first session as I'd never taken a road bike with road tyres on the track. The second session I felt alot more comfortable. (although I was still being passed by just about every other bike.)

My front and rear tyres were chewed up all ta hell - Which is a good thing, I wanted to do that.

I didn't get a knee down but then I didn't have sliders on sooooo... next time.

It was nice to meet up with a few KBer's (motobob, two smoker, spankme, curious e.t.c.) and I look forward to catching you guys at the next one.

    Paul.
    Not even with yours!!!

Curious George - hey man thanks for taking these pics, they look great. That's me on the Repsol. First time at Puke and really enjoyed the two sessions I had. If you have any higher res pics of the Repsol, could you email them to me?? That would be fantastic... brp@xtra.co.nz

The CBR is only about 4 weeks old, after trading a Blackbird ... so still getting comfortable with it. Plenty of power and easy to get it down coming out of the turns. Mike on the Hayabusa was the quickest down the straight and that's Scott on the Aprilia RSVR Factory. Rob was on the black GSXR 1000 K4, Tracy on the R1. I did see a near miss down the straight with some guy trying to cut on the inside of another bike on the apex of the slight bend. Running out of road space at 260k aint pleasant... Don't know who they were but there must have been some sphinkter adjustment after the round...

Just a great day, I'll be back..

    Cheers

Done. Heads up! About 20Mb heading your way!
Do you want your mates as well?

I think I caught most people in the wee movie.
Low res, but you should recognise people.
Crap, it's 11Mb, so perhaps D/L it to HDD to save host space.
If it goes away, it 'cos my bandwidth has been exceeded.
I'll post it somewhere else if that happens

Brilliant. However, I don't think xtra supports files that long. Could try sending to cbrfan@gmail.com if attachments are under 10Mb.

Just the stills would be fine. If you have the bandwidth, be great to see the Busa, the RSVR and the Gixer 1000.

    Thanks
