    I met Big Dave once

Met the hotties off "Go Girls" and few other nz actors etc - I do a lot of 'extras' work so get to see quite a few famous people!

Oh and I live next door to very very famous retired motorbike racer whom I best not name. Showed me his race bike in it's glass case... Always pops over when he see's me tinkering with my bike, great bloke.

Alright then. Barry off Eastenders once bought me a drink for looking after him at his concert? yes the man can wail a bit.

Leo sayer bought me a drink for lifting him up so he could see the bar lovely bloke but man is he tiny.

The black actor off eastenders (can't remember his name) thanked me and shook my hand for stopping the young girls at a party pestering him for sex. He had taken four fans to his room already and was exhausted (I ain't kidding here) fame eh.

Back in the 70's Eric Sykes and Jimmy Edwards were doing a tour through NZ, we ran into them on manners st in Wellington they were looking for a quiet pub,so we took them to the St George, have had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting and dealing with some of our more infamous criminals.

Had a beer after the International at Teretonga with Jim Clark, Bruce McLaren and another. (Can't remember who... Possibly Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme or Angus Hislop). It was JC's last trip down under as he was killed shortly afterwards. Not sure, but I think BM was killed the same year. Late 60's. Also have Stirling Moss' autograph.

To be fair, this thread was doomed from the moment anyone world famous in New Zealand was mentioned.

Bill Hohepa. I went fishing with him when I was younger (12 years old) on kapiti island. He's, well, a bit of a grumpy fella (that was probably because I caught more fish than him and beat him a poker).
I've also meet Gary Kemsley (for those that do surf fishing), nice guy. I would love to go for a fish with him sometime when I'm in his neck of the woods.

I laid some carpet for him a few years ago when lived at Snells beach...he asked if I wanted some lunch, I said ''well I was just going to go down the road and get a pie''...his reply was ''do you eat fish''?.. hell yeah!

Thought ''I might be in for a treat here''...ahhhhhhh wrong, he opened up a tin of salmon

Is Rhys Millen famous? I met him when I was on the Silver Fern last year, also met Rod. Rod is a great fellow to have a chat to.
