So, after those customers "feedback"....Do they still actually think they are providing a "comprehensive, no-fault personal injury cover for all New Zealanders"???

Personally...I hope they KEEP removing there logos!...from buildings, cars, advertising, and business listings!, I would rather the OPTION of personal health insurance (Oh wait...Ive already got it!, due to having absolutely no trust in ACC or relying on the SLIM chance that they will actually help if required)

But thank god they spent spent nearly $25,000 (OF OUR MONEY!!) to produce a staff DVD on how to deal with abusive or threatening clients

I dislike those clowns as much as the next guy, but going so far as to run ACC staff off the road?? That is just stupid. I suppose given their bureaucratic, bullshit-centric way of handling their general affairs it was bound to eventually happen. They are right up their next to the IRD. Someone needs to remind them that they work for us, we are not their adversaries.

Somehow I doubt it is the ACC policy makers that are driving around in marked company cars and getting run off the road.By all means give them a bit of flak for supporting the ACC, but vehicular assault is a bit much; don't think it'll do our premiums any good either

True but how much are you willing to pay for it? There are no controls and no competition to keep them in check! They charge whatever they like!

Yeah I think running 'em off the road is over the top obviously. But I do understand how some peeps get so wild with them. I'm about to have my ankle fused in three places, and will be off work for nearly three months. They tell me they'll be paying me 80% of what I earnt for the four weeks prior to my accident that originally fucked it. Hello...that was 8 years ago! I earn a shitload more now than I did then, and my outgoings are a shitload more too. How's that fair? But no...because it's still the same claim number...that's how it is. NOT looking forward to trying to make do...but better than nothing of course.

I propose 80c in the dollar from upper management, 60c in the dollar from middle management & 40c in the dollar from the rest to cover the "higher cost involved in being an ACC employee" as they are 30x more likely than that average employed person to be assaulted at work*

I wouldn't run them off the road or condone such behaviour, but I don't have any sympathy for ACC (and not much for their employees as they are often of the type that gets their jollies through power trips).

Hope they are taking steps to improve their client interface.

lol..no it wouldn't. But my bosses don't want me there on crutches, as it ain't such a good look...and trying to move 400kg Harleys whilst in a non weight bearing cast ain't gonna happen either. So they don't want me there until I can do my job. Hey...nothing I want more than to get back to work. Sitting round with my right foot in the air does my head in. But if you're of no/little use to them, and they don't want you until you are...what am I to do?

Such injuries are more to do with legislation ... and its association with their ACC employers ... not their "jobs" as such.
