    fantastic video. Great riding Jay
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

Given the Speedo is corrected (Dave, I didn't realise - now you have scared me!) I'd have to agree with Dave, it is likely 10-15km/h from accurate with wheelspin at that speed. Not to mention the speedo changing leaning from the middle of the tyre (smaller rolling radius), which our mate has ignored. Isn't it funny how some Gripper's on this forum like to try and create a troll over anything they can...I've never understood it.

To me the top speed means nothing, that just comes down to what you are riding. What excites me about doing it is the speed I can carry into the fast corners (and around them). Turn one in particular gets me big time, it sets up the next two minutes with a great shot of adrenaline to get you to the top!

Definately. Got brave (see stupid) once. Swung on a TZ750 powered chair. Still have the collar bone poking out of my chest.

I understand the record was broken by 8 sec in that run, but that record also belongd to Jay, so how far back is the next best time? or was Jay's 600 record also broken this weekend?

Good effort Jay. must come have a look one of these days, but Cliffy always clashes with something else, in this case a decent trailride & like sex, its better to participate than just be a spectator.

Cross that off your list as a done job,. . . unless of course someone finds you an NSR500V to ride there

On this run he broke the record by 5 secs, the previous record was also set by Jay and was 2.09 something, The closest person to Jays time this weekend got a 2.14 and i think the closest ever was Drew who got a 2.10.3 or similar.

Yeah, and my 2:09 on a 600 race bike so probably not far off the 999 in all likelihood.

Mind you Drew did a year on a Super, and only did 2:15 (I think) cos he didn't have someone to race...pussy.

My partners son got a 2.16.9 on the Sat practice run but had an off on the Sunday and dropped his time back to 2.18
