Unfortunately our web page is down at the moment and we are working on it.
But we can confirm that the hill climb will be on this year on the 23/24th March.
The sign up for the 2013 Hillclimb has started.
Please spread the word and we're looking forward to a great weekend in the Wairarapa.
You can find out more and sign up here:

A couple of unsealed patches on the right side going up should make things interesting, one before and one just after the first right hand bend.
The first one shouldnt be a problem, but the next one round the bend could make for interesting viewing even after being patched up.
Anywho entry form done, bring on the 23rd/24th.
Please, do not carry out "practice runs" up Te Wharau Road. There have been comments made to us by local residents and some residents have lodged formal objections to this event with the Carterton District Council.
A member of the Organising Committee will be attending a hearing with the CDC this week to argue for continuing to run this event.
There is the possibility we may lose this event if the "practice runs" continue.
We need the cooperation of the locals to be able to have this Hillclimb.
We stress that being able to run the event is a privilege, not a right.
Masterton Police are aware we are running again this year and may be monitoring the local roads.
- please pass this message on.
Hey guys. Could you clear up for me, is the only prize money this year for beating the outright record? Or is there still the usual for the top three spots?
Hi Drew
Prizes
• $1000 prize money for the C class rider who can beat the outright record by 0.5 second or more
• Trophy for fastest C1 rider
• Trophy for fastest C2 rider
The annual Cliffhanger Hillclimb takes place on Te Wharau Road, Gladstone
on the weekend of 23rd and 24th March 2013.
Each year we rely on a motley band of volunteers to help us run the event
and this year is no different: we need volunteers to help with marshalling.
If you can spare a morning, an afternoon or all day on either Saturday 23rd or
Sunday 24th March and would like to lend a hand, then
- call or text Russ Allen on 021 731 089 or
- email us at mail@cliffhanger.org.nz
and we’ll get right back to you.
Lunch will be provided and all volunteers who spend a whole day with us will be
in a draw held on both days for $50.00 petrol vouchers.
We look forward to hearing from you!!!
One week to go. If you consider to register it would make the whole registration process easier if you pre-register online because we would be able to print out the entry forms and all you have to do is sign it
No obligations are coming with the pre reg.
*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***
We regret to inform you that we can not allow individual power generators for this year's Hillclimb.
Because of the long draught the risk of a fire is to high.
We are trying to organise a generator which is capable to provide enough power for the participants who need it. We'll update the status about the generator as soon as we know more.
