FOR SALE - 1987 Yamaha FZR400 *GOING DIRT CHEAP*
Sadly its got to go. This bike has been sitting in my garage needing parts for too long, and with the recent arrival of my baby boy funds wont allow it to be finished.
The bike runs, but it will need the following:
Kickstand
Rear Tire (wont pass WOF)
Clutch Cable
Fairings repaired & repainted (currently primer grey)
Muffler (insides coming out)
WOF
REG
I had just replaced the chain and rear sprocket (o-ring chain) and still have a brand new front sprocket to go with the bike. Noticed the clutch cable was worn so removed that, just never replaced it. Some bugger knocked the bike over and damaged the fairing, decided to repair/repaint it, got as far as sanding back and putting on primer and that was it. Because it sat for so long not being used the WOF and REG lapsed also, but it is NOT de-registered, plates are still live.
Bike has done 3x,xxxkms (will update when i check out odometer) and is otherwise in fairly good nick, has new battery, 4x pod filters and some other bits and pieces. Not the original engine, this one was sourced from N.Island and had done 13,000kms when it was put in about 5,000kms ago.
Anyway it needs to go, wouldnt take much to get up to scratch for someone with the right skills, will consider any offers over $750.
