Technically, it is not a ''donation'' if you're offering 4 X the money back...it's a short term investment...best get that clarified.
That's probably the difference between a bet and a donation in this case. A bet would have a return based on the odds of winning. You're not betting here.

Seems pretty simple to me, you donate some cash and if they win they will donate it back plus a little (or a lot). It would be best not to look at it as a bet I reckon.

That's how I see it. It's sponsorship first and foremost and if they do succeed then they're 'paying back' those that supported them. I have seen people give much more money for absolutely no chance of any return let alone gaining on it in motorcycle racing in NZ so I think it's a brilliant idea. Shame I am not in a position to help as I reckon they could do well!

    Donation by definition is...

'Donations are given without return consideration. This lack of return consideration means that, in common law, an agreement to make a donation is an "imperfect contract void for want of consideration." Only when the donation is actually made does it acquire legal status as a transfer or property. civil law jurisdictions, on the contrary, donations are valid contracts, though they may require some extra formalities, such as being done in writing.'

Perhaps Sponsership is the better word to use?

I would use investment with a 1 in 50 chance of return (well better than Lotto)

Anyway love the idea and I hope you both can get the money together to compete.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

An opinion from a lawyer could be worth the investment.

Keep us posted on what donation format you decide, like others here I can't afford $1K but would be nice to give something to the effort.

I have thought about Pledge Me but for this scheme I think from the response I have had that it will actually be achievable just through the regular channels plus they take a commission I believe...

Its also been a bit raped with bike rider stuff so I need fresh ideas for people to share their hard earnt $$

Craig is on the team too and every one loves him!

Keen to support this campaign, Chops!

You smashed it in the 09 BADD Endurance Race, Craig's a legend and his come back this year has been fierce!

The competition will be good for you and you've got a great Manager, who's excellent support!

So.... you're going for the Gay aspect?

Or..... how about approaching Higgins or Fultons......... They should pay up, given how much grading work they've had to do after Craigs been at a track....... He single handedly keeps them in profit.....
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??
