Congratulations to those that finished, the Team ESE bike DNF'd, battery lead came adrift ....

I will post a more complete set of results with qualifying times etc on the ESE thread later.

What a race. Congratulations to all the finished. After crying about it being 40 laps it was not all that bad. Fitness was down but still not feeling to bad today. Will have the onboard form my bike posted today in a separate Video thread so we can all put the footage in.

Well I felt a bit sad for Rich as he looked class all weekend, but Nathanial was really the one in control. He kept a level head in practice, heck I could keep with him when my 100 was going, but practice has no trophies & he was just keeping things sorted till the race. I was flagging & he looked slow, but was faster if you see what I mean.

My own tale of woe is just an extension of the silly luck I've been having. I was competitive & would have picked up some speed, but clearly this track is so technical you need some decent time & no one is going to win it first visit.

Well except if you are some over talented kid.

I almost put the 50 on the podium in the Tokoroa GP class that I was allowed on to the back of the grid just after the F5 GP. Instead I need a new helmet.

But great weekend, great people, great track.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

    Little Report

Well as others have said what a great meeting. Such a cool bunch of people. I had a great time on and off the track. Saturday was a little mixed. I had good pace and was getting quicker as I started to feel the love form the new setup. The only downer was hitting the deck after my front sprocket came off and oil sprayed the rear tyre. It should have never happened and I feel a little embarrassed about the bad bike prep on that one. Still was happy to drop into the hi 42's at the end of the day. Nathaniel and Regan both were dropping faster and faster lap times and all three of us were quite close at that stage. I think I was fastest by bugger all at the end of the day. I new I could go faster so that meant everyone one else would to. Sure enough in Practise Nathaniel busted out some super fast times. Everyone was getting way quicker. I dropped another 4 10ths and the then Nathaniel busted out an amazing 42.2 for pole. Nice.

    The Race.

Well I am not renown for my starts so I was glad to be on the front row. Flag dropped and all good. 1st gear then second yeah I am all good then 3rd, what the fuck where is 3rd? there maybe? no there? yep thats it. Shit. While all the was happening the master hole shot king Regan was there and tipping into turn one. Exactly what I didn't want. And so the work began.

Insert video here------------. I am having trouble getting it uploaded and small enough. Won't be long promise.

Anyway great battle with Regan as usual may there be many more.

To not win sux. I really thought I had a good chance. But if anyone deserved the win it was Nathaniel. He has come so close in the past and had some crappy luck. So congratulations to you mate you were all class.

Thanks to everyone for a fantastic weekend. Way more fun than I had expected and the racing was so very fast.
We will be back next year, hopefully with 2 bikes not put together in the very last minute

Good weekend and good racing. Congratulations to Nathanuel as Rich said you had been robbed a few times before. Good to have a talk to Nigel at the end of the day also. I was disappointed with my efforts but didn't fall off. Had a problem with the rear brake. Lots of people don't use them but I do. Had Glen and Gavin fall off in front of me. Pleased to miss both of them. Caleb did well getting 6th. All in all great racing. Thanks to the organisers.
