As the title states, where can I buy vinyl for making my own decals/designs? Is there a shop you can get this stuff or do I need to go to the trades?
Cheers

In Auckland there are some signwriter type places (top of symonds st and down newton rd for example) who have the right stuff for you..
We've used the one in Newton, since the office is just down the road.. dont know the name though. I'll ask my workmate.

The one in Newton is probably Computaleta. That would be my guess for signwriting related materials.

I bought a pack of 10 sheets via Trademe from a model supplier/shop. Printed onto inkjet, sprayed with clear and affixed to my bike to replace rooted decals.
Here's some:

Wow!! Now, there's a whole new world of playtime on winter evenings.
Could you print off any picture onto this decal paper?
I guess there would be an aquired skill in appling the decals without finishing up with air bubbles or wrinkles.
