I wonder if decals would look good on top of a newly coloured tank without clear coat over it?

ANYWAY. I talked to my neighbour in the warehouse next door (mechanics) and asked if he could give me any advice and he sent me to his friends around the corner at a panel beaters. He said he would strip/sand the tank AND side covers down, fill in the holes that are left by removing the badges, prime it (however many times), base coat AND pearl (however many times) and clear coat (again, however many times) for $350 - is this a good deal? Sounds OK to me??

But now I'm thinking if I paid someone to do it, maybe I SHOULD get some funky colour? thoughts?????????

Edited to add: The paint job would also come with a guarantee.

    Don't forget the screen.

Can't say if it is a good offer or not, but it would be very tempting to me

I like the pearl/red idea or maybe a dark purple.

And lets face it, the resale value of a GN is not that amazing anyway. A nice paint would probably make it at least stand out more.

    ...Now you have me thinking...

Judging by the pic's already posted by Bosslady ... good things come in small packages.

So two may have been required. (some people are just greedy)

It's gotta be better than fudgin it yourself with bodgy shit from SuperCheap (no offence DucatiLover). Maybe a cool colour with some bold stripes running through the centre of the tank, muscle-car style?

Sweet, feel free to PM me the details.

Have to be in a few weeks time after I have a few things fixed (joys of buying second hand)
