The Wanganui Branch of the Vintage Car Club held their autumn motorcycle road trial on Saturday.
Riders came from Tauranga,New Plymouth,Wellington and Manawatu, the bikes ranged from the 1930's through to 70's.
The Trial started from the riverside markets which allowed members of the public to have a good look at the bikes and yarn with the riders.
The route took in the backroads south of Wanganui with mostly tarmac road and one section of gravel to give the hardtail boys their jollies on the corrugations.
Personal highlights were a thrash around an old street circuit in Marton behind a Manx Norton. Also hearing (& smelling) a Scott two stroke twin and a beautiful unrestored Norton ES2.
All up it was well organised day and made more enjoyable by the rain holding off until the end.If you get the chance come along on the next one.
