1985 XL250 motor, rebuild or replace ideas?

ok so last year i revinned a 1985 xl250 rfvc, now the engine has sprung a leak,
cracked head and stripped head bolt in the cylinder housing
it has a great gear box (6speed) and ive managed 125 out of the old bugger)

    options

1replacing the xl250 head with another and re tapping the cylinder casing
(if i cant find a good one )

2 fitting a gn250 motor loom etc (reliable easy for parts)

3 getting a loncin or similar to fit,

4 finding a alternate head that will bolt one??? xr? cb???

5 make it electric ( i dont know about legality and cert stuff)

    any help would be great
sorry if ive posted in the wrong place, seems fitting
