Good to see another Sth Woman on her own wheels.
If you don't know anyone to ride with hang out at the local bike shops, they should be able to put you on to some local groups / rides.

hiya! you'll find a lot of good advice here ----- you'll need to grow a thick skin but that's not necessarily a bad thing as here they are just pulling your leg while in the real world you are going to be [probably] seriously disrespected for the choices you are making.

If you wish to find other riders in your area, just go to the "Meetings / Rides" forum and put up a post, you may be surprised how many you may find. (And how many guys will try to go out for a cruz with you )
