    Any Glove for touch screens?

One of the gadget sites I subscribe to included a link to anyglove.com. It's a liquid that you put on the finger tips of 'any glove' and it supposedly allows you to use a capacitive touch screen. This seems much easier than using the conductive thread method, so I've ordered some from Amazon and I'll let you know how it goes. It'll probably take a couple of weeks to get here since I had to use YouShop to get it to NZ.

    Anyone else tried it?

Been meaning to update this one... but I've been a muppet. My gloves are perforated so after actually trying them on a touch screen device, they work just fine. Duh...

The gloves (Held Air 'n Dry) do have a 2nd, goretex lined chamber which doesn't work with a touch screen, but I don't use that chamber much, if it all. I will however give it a whirl this weekend and let you know my findings.

I suspect Icon has some gloves in their range that can work with touch screens...

I can confirm that AnyGlove does work. As mentioned above, my gloves have a two chamber system, an Air chamber and a Dry chamber. The outer leather is perforated so I can use touch screens anyway in the Air chamber, but the Dry chamber is goretex lined and wouldn't work with a touch screen. Two applications of AnyGlove with 30 seconds of hair dryer between and after applications and we had contact.

Fucks sake - I go for a ride to get away from the constant intrusion in my life by bloody beeping electronics. Turn the shit off and enjoy the ride.

Good for you. I want to be able to call someone when I'm crashed in a ditch and can't get my glove off, or look up an address without having to remove a glove.

If you are unable to get a glove off then you will be unable to call anyone ......... plus reception is usually pretty fucked in all the good crashing spots.............. Best you carry a couple of flares to shoot up in the air.

If you broke your wrist you wouldn't want to take your glove off. You could still use a finger to unlock your phone and call someone... but rather than analyse every possible permutation of injury relating to using a device with gloves on, lets just say there seems some reasons why being able to use a touch screen could possibly, sometimes, be useful... maybe.
