Was going to put the heavier duty wheels on with the knobblier tyres than the XC tubeless tyres on the Rivals.
But then I weighed the fronts to complete them.
The 36 spoke front with tube and Maxxis Larsen TT is 2,100g.
The 20 spoke Roval with Michelin Wild Race'R is 1,250g.

The rears would have a similar difference...

    Light it is then...

I'm still running my Swampthings, can't be arsed changing them yet. Trying to get fit again so the extra weight and drag is beneficial
T7 Had special on them so picked up a 2.5 to go on front, already had a 2.35 on rear. Width wise the two sizes are identical, the 2.5 tread just wraps around a bit further on sides.

Worth about 1.3km avg speed on typical ride to go back to lighter/narrow tyres. Not sure about lightweight rims with some of my rough landings

Did a 16km ride this morning after not being out for "a while" averaged 18.9kmh around a track we used to average 22kmh, need to get the average and the distance back up

Think I may get a 29er very soon. Cheap one. See if I can remember how to pedal.

who would have thought a few years ago that a 26in fully suss 27 speed would be classed as old school ?

There's a few fat bikes around here now.

My 26" fully 18 speed is almost cool now.

I would like a Santa Cruz Tallboy Carbon though. A 29”, 120mm travel, XL frame, carbon version of my bike...
