Pretty happy with knocking out a 25km ride in the 29 deg heat today at Eskdale. Click link to GPS track sat view of ride.

Yep, my legs still feeling it today, didn't swim too far off the beach today just in case lol...

Altitude profile from mytracks app, not 100% accurate but good indication.

Does anyone know of a decent cheap wheel truing stand? I know I know, decent and cheap, but it's purely for straightening my own and mates wheels. Don't want to spend a huge amount, but the little adapter I have works great on the rear frame on a hardtail, but then there is nowhere to mount it for front suspension. Figure a stand would be a better bet, for 26-29...

On that note, does anyone know how many nipple sizes there are? Fortunately the one I had in a multi-tool worked for the one job I needed...

Don't have either Also thinking mobile as such, so when we go on trips, we can take a small workshop. The $80 stand I got from T7 was very handy over Christmas / New Year.

Seems I need a steal like Nordie then... Even the likes of T7 doesn't seem to offer one.

Two cable ties cut down to meet the rim. Done on bike. Easy.

Go to your LBS and buy a multi size spoke tool.

I'd like something a bit better than zip ties

Woo, Bike Barn showed a spoke wrench on special for $9.99 when I had a look last night (cheers for the tip, that's exactly what I remember). Went in today... special over, $20. Bah, I'll wait for the next special then...

Why on earth do you want straight wheels for, their not pointed straight ahead very often when mtb... The Bentrager Dusters on Trek are like butter and its a lost cause straightening them, probably -+ 5mm both sides all the time, don't seem to matter lol... When they get bad I just use the Zen method and bang sidewall on ground with high tyre pressure to get em back in ballpark settings

certainley is the klr of pushies - a bit heavy and a bit slow but very planted and stable
I've been riding one over the last week and had a blast so I've ordered one.
