That's what I say, but nooooo, we've got to go to Cardrona and tent in the snow and listen to folk music...

speaking of pushies I went for a ride today - it was so spectacular i have to go again tomorrow. I love Spring!

Went up to the snow on Thurs with the kids class. I missed out on the snow bike they had had up there - apparently a ski on front & studded tyre on rear.

I broke my 2nd hand Fizik Gobi seat a few months ago.
It's quite common for the Gobi's to snap the plastic of the shell in the middle.
Mine was otherwise in mint condition and looked brand new.

    Today's email...

    Dear Fran

Thank you for your e-mail and sorry for the problem occured.

I will send you a new saddle asap.

    Regards

They replaced the seat, pedals, added bottle holder, worn the rear tyre, needs a clean.

looks sweet, other than the seat angle, that looks mostly uncomfortable and somewhat intimate.

Single speeded my fun bike to see what it was all about.
39/18 gearing and a Surly Singulator to take up the slack.
50s faster over a 25min ride around Bridge and Gibbs valleys.
Wasn't consciously going any faster and the grind up the hill felt much shower but was actually about the same speed.
The first 6 (of 8km) averaged 5kph faster than normal.
Looks like that with this gearing, if the ride is from 20-25kph average speed, then it's more efficient for me than gears.
At about 30kph on the gravel stretch home, it was geared too low...

    Numbers are fun...
    Until they hurt your knees...
