Went up there the other evening for a looksie. Rode up escalator & then rode & pushed up the barndicoot range rd.
I got up to the skidder site joining Fowler rd. where "hang loose" jump is. Saw there was a DH looking track above it. is that a good track or just jumps & shit? I went along fowler rd to the lil switchbacky track which leads to lodestone. got off 1/2 way down & went back up to the crossroads & back down the road to Bermed monster then across the linking track to escalator.

    Any other good tracks?

have you bought the white 2 story on the corner of Churchill rd?

I'm so impressed with what they've done with turners that i'm gonna volunteer a few hrs of riding time tomm morn track builiding. It will be a top class track when it's finished!

Yup sounds like you need to be shown the best bits

If you want to climb escalator continues straight up to the hang 10 skid site (400m odd). Hang 10 is just jumps n shit. If you want a serious loop you can carry on up to the fire tower and across to the Barnicoat/Involution.

My current 30 minute loop is home to escalator, cell tower to fowler road to terminus - down loadstone gulley all the way down, back up a short climb to the cell tower then down bermed monster, and across the linking track to the escalator and home.

We're on Marlborough crescent, a lot of 70s features, we love it up here. Every Friday afternoon we do a loop if anyone else knocks off early afternoon, leaving work at 3:30 back home for a beer 4:45ish you'd be welcome to join us.

I rode turners for the first time this afternoon, delicious. I must get around to joining the MTB club so I can contribute my share of labour too.

Oh bugger, 60s faster than that one tonight.

I do like the way it makes you work at different cadences. Normally I'm shifting gears to keep the cadence between 90-95rpm.

Dunno if if race with one, but it's a good training tool.

Rampage on this weekend. It's good to see these guys shit themselves - makes me feel a little better. I went down to the jump park to try a few little table tops. All good for the tabletops but as soon as there's a gap between the takeoff & landing the perceived difficulty factor increases by 10000%

Rode a homemade fat bike this morning. Very much fun! The owner hadn't ridden a full suss bike before so a new sensation for both of us.
I want one for the cool factor

Riding on river beds would be a lot easier on a fat bike...

Ouch! Kelly McGarry just destroyed another set of wheels...

Came up short this time, back flipping the big gap and walked away.

In practice, he was long and taco'd a set of wheels...
