    Mine have been across japan
The length of japan and to work everyday
    And still are fine

Unlike sealskinz socks which fill up like balloons full of water

Now I use rainlegs and long cyclepants
Crocs with sealskin sock and overboots and duct tape around the top to stop water going into the socks

Seems to work even during the rainy season

Went out last night to Mcleans Island, 15.8km loop flat and reasonably quick averaging 22kmh for it, tonight was Bottle lake, bit tighter, few more little ups and downs, 17.3km loop averaging 18kmh

We used to average 20kmh for Bottle lake so the aim is to build back up to that and start doing the loop twice

This was the first time out in three weeks, my arse hurts

off on another one ,,,so I suppose this post goes here in adventure pushies!

across Japan ( again ) Tokyo bay to Nigata , even bought a front rack to put the bed roll on ,,

    Organised this time hahahaha!!!

    not

The heat this year is pretty hard ...humidity is a byatch so not taking much , just a canvas poncho and liner , plate , wood stove and a Billy and a change of cycle clothes

Water and dehydrated food ( I make my meals at home then dehydrate them )

Should be fun ,,,,, though I really should save my money for Australia !

Haven't been needing a dropper on that bike recently. If it gets gnarly or steep, I'm happy to get off and walk.

Both my droppers are in the parts bin at the moment.
I'm tempted to put the TMARS one on the rigid single speed I keep in town as I'm more likely to need it doing stupid stuff like Turners, IV Line, Firball, Gully.

Also 3 of my 4 bikes run 27.2 seatposts now and I've already got a good one for the 30.9
27.2 dropper posts are either really cheap like the $140 TMARS Gravity Dropper clone or really expensive like the Thomson at $650 on sale.

Where do the Welly folk go pedalling? I'm in Welly for the first weekend of September.

No desire to tackle anything higher than G3, but thought I'd do some exploring on the way down and on the way north as well. Probably do something Monday morning prior to leaving...

Is there a story behind that, got to be a big get off involved. Me and the other hooligan down here have thrown our bikes at all sorts of solid objects and not done that yet lol
