The Blur XC is now running SRAM X0 shifters, X5 9 speed 11-34 back end, X7 2 speed 22/36 front.
I like it. I like it a lot.
Will change the 22 front for a 24 though. Was going to go for a 26, but after today, I think a 24 would match up well.
Been experimenting with slider rig for video work, bit of an art to moving it smoothly and right speed.
Turn sound off before watching, thought I had disabled it but no. Moving to off camera sounds soon to avoid all background operational noise.
Anyway here's some close up of my adventure pushie with over 4000km on clock.
Excellent stuff. Show us the slider tho - that wil be more interesting.

You can see it in here, just a basic manual version, not one of the fancy Kessler motorized ones that are way more expensive.

I've been checking out KAP - kite aerial photography. I was thinking about how to tow a kite or suchlike behind the bike to get a bit of a different POV from the usual.

It will be a bit of trial & error to see if it works but something stupid to try I guess.
Off topic but this subject is probably the first I've googled that has come up with pommie sites first.

Telescoping beach caster with a gopro mounted to the end?
It'd get more use that way than as a fishing rod...
Oh! A gopro and sinker on a beach caster line. Cast into clear(ish) water and reel it in...
Was glad I took the MTB...
It's the first time I've ever used full travel, would NOT have liked to ride the course on a crosser.
Would have ended up with 2 flat tyres and dented rims from the river bed, and broken forks from the g-outs.
Would have been easier to carry up the climbs though.
It was funny to see kids trying to carry/push their mtb's up the climbs and take up to a minute when I could dig my feet into the soft wet soil and stomp up in 10s.
It'd take them the rest of the lap to catch me again![]()
Biked out to the Hackett Hut and back via Clover Knob and Serpentine Rd.
A lot of walking/carrying the bike heading to the hut.
Can't believe there's logging tracks within a few hundred meets of the Hackett Hut.
Tubeless tyres and race wheels went well. Wheels still straight at the end and the same air pressure at the end as at the start.
Well, after last weekend's x-country race, I decided I needed a dropper post. There were a few tight corners with steps/roots and small drops I would walk down like a wuss as it felt like I was going to go over the bars and I can't get off the back of the seat properly. Well I can, but it takes a few minutes to get back onto the seat after...
My Specialized Command Post Blacklite arrived today
Installed easily, and of course, now its raining![]()
On the way back from this mornings job, I lowered the seatpost to the 3.5cm drop position and went down a couple of steps and under the Nile St bridge.
I've never been able to do that before
I think I'm hooked![]()
