That being said, If you protest you expect at some point you will be asked to move on, if you don't you should be prepared to expect the consequences of not doing so.
Occupy Auckland, was on public land in a no camping site. They were tolerated for a while then asked to move on, failed to do so, so were forcibly moved.

If you are not going to enforce a law there is no point in having one.
