    True!

Notice how I never disagreed with any of your conclusions/observations ... simply asked that you relate to a higher plane!

All of them still end up with subjecting us (taxpayers) to higher costs, less freedoms and greater debt!

The method can change but the ultimate result is exactly the same!

It's been the same for as long as I can remember, irrespective of "who" the government is/was.

The higher plane you refer to is speculation, supposition and fairy tale, all based on your personal opinions.
There is simply no proof about what could have been...

Besides, if you take the long view (say 100 years), we are richer, healthier and have more freedoms than we ever did.

True but that's because of industry technical advancement and peoples endeavours not because of bloody politicians and political parties!

If anything they hold society back and keep progress strangled by their addiction to expensive debt money.

Staying on the topic of poor leadership, I see Australia has become smarter and rid itself of that ginger moron from the PM's position.
    Long overdue.

do you understand how twisted your logic is? Now if the hint had been for donkey - but he's not a red head.

The Aussies at least had a reserve in the elected party, our best would be Norman and he's the wrong party.

Shearer needs to stop pretending to be a "leader". A waste of space, certainly...

I'm not too sure about the healthier bit .. obesity, diabetes, heart disease ... bowel cancer ... we may live longer .. but the next generation will not .. and we may be able to cure more diseases and shit - but are we healthier ???

I have yet to be convinced.

Denying the future based on "speculation, supposition and fairy tale" where the stock market is speculation, that the future is certain and finally disbelieving that which history has proven time and time again (i.e. once the TV was a fairy tale).

    Moderately amusing.

You know the future do you?
You also don't believe in the lessons from history, you said so.

Try and keep your story straight and you won't look quite so stupid.
