As others have said Fiddy, tyres are extremely subjective. Easiest example is I had a ZX10R, someone I know has the same now. The exact same model of tyres I hated, he loves, so what works for one person may not suit another. Of course we can all have fun recommending our favourites, but take it with a pinch of salt and see what suits you.

I've run a few sets of Michelin Pilot Road 2 on a CB900, 26k out of the front and 24k out of the rear. The Road 3 is fantastic in the wet and has a sharper more sporty profile than the PR2, which is a more neutral tyre. The PR3 does have a softer carcass which means some find the tyre can squirm a bit. The Metzeler Z8 has a stiffer carcass in this regard and also performs well.

I seem to have a soft spot for Michelins though, getting on very well with several models...

You may want to have a chat with one of the top blokes doing some work round your place at the moment.
He may be able to give you his 2 cents worth, as he has used nothing but Avons on his Hayabusa for road riding
    and track days.

Hey you cheeky bugger, you just left my place lol.........I'm impressed with the feed back on this site, looking at a conti booklet just now, the others will get a look in, but I will need that something to pull me away from Avon's. The K3s on the HP2 are great as you would expect but don't look for a high mileage eh! All in all they are all great tryes, pick what is best for the style of riding etc. Cheers

Hi Gremlin, Yes I have had a couple of members say this about the PR2 and 3, so will have to consider Michelin, the 1400 has Metzelers on at the time and appear to have plenty of live in them yet?

    Cheers Fiddy
