OK its been like a week since my last post.
You might not think I have been busy in this time, and your right. But what have you done?
Relax
Father it has been 3 months since my last confession. I have been a sinner!
"Tell me son what have you done"
>>"lied father...we are broke and my wife is reusing sanitary pads, my kids think food comes from USA in boxes delivered to our letter box"
Sound reasonable.
"Father... I am thankful that not all human are useless, except me obviously.. being perfect"
"One of your followers fixed my crank case bearing and he was like a machining god, reality TV is coming his way."
Reality couples machining 2014... has a ring to it.
With out further delay I show off my repaired crankcase.
No more spun bearing.
Bored, sleeved and only 0.1mm taken off the bottom bearing land and 0.1mm off the bearing sleeve base.
Dude had to make a custom boring bar cause of chatter and whole job was $300.
Oh and the dude is a classic bike nut.
Repair is amazing.
Mean while swingarm is off for coating as are all the platting bit.
Beer is ready the rebuild will start soon!

Obviously not a speed thread... but things are happening.
Dam slow yes.. I'm still waiting for my rims and swingarm to be returned after powder coating.
Mate doing a favour, my bet is the prick has sold them.
Anyway next week I'm told like last week.
There is a little good news, and no shit like everything these bits only took 2 months to turn up.
What is it with this shit, yes it is in stock or no worries give me a week. what f#cking week?
BUT I say with some excitement all my suspension bits are here, finally.
Odd swingarm bushes..
may have seen better days, only good for throwing at the wife now, eggs what is so hard about eggs?
Every bearing and seal will be replaced, getting a woody just handling these bits.
Any day now rims will be here, add tyres and I will have a rolling frame. Now that is worth looking at.
I can build the rolling frame and put the children to work to pay for the crank rebuild.
OHH have I added... you maybe asking why is this taking so long? sure as hell I have been. Horse.. I hate them.
Those in the know, know I need to say no more! Get a horse, get a divorce! sooo true.
Now back to RG porn...

Santa visiting you also.
I ordered myself some new tools for work!!! Now have xmas wrap on them and have been turned into my xmas present. I think that's a sign shes sick of bike parts being ordered before Christmas and a possible lack of funds. So I did the only thing a man can do in my position. I ordered a billet ally brake reservoir bottle and used her credit card to pay for it.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
Mossy, I am hoping the santa is going to be a good friend.
Any time now the rims and swingarm will be with me were they belong.. then add tyres (from santa) and I can start to rebuild.
I still need to get some plating done which thinking about it needs to be sorted ASAP.

I am thinking.. can I re use these?
A wash with some petrol and add a little grease, great for another 20k.
Nope, in the bin, new swingarm bearings sorted.
If only I had a swingarm ready to go!

Santa... I love you.
Rims powder coated with a urethane powder coat, much better lasting than standard powder.
Like normal I should have not been lazy and taped everything off... now I have to sand all the powder off where the discs go.
What no swingarm pictures!
will follow.

All the screwy bits and brackets are off getting plated, olive green...like standard. I could sell the wifes boobs cheaper than a small container of parts to be plates olive green at progressive platers in New Lyn.
Gold or silver cheap as chips but black or olive green is not done by many places.
$180 for an ice cream container of parts... shit that just plain expensive. The owner was great and by all accounts the job will be mint. But gold or silver at a job shop will cost me $20.
Rims and swingarm cost $100 to be powder coated though a mate so that's mega cheap and appreciated.
New wheel bearings to source tomorrow and its nearly time to assemble... cant wait.
(Oh and powder coating cost $300 ... add $200 from draw and new tyres soon to be fitted)![]()

Ha... when the wife asks... how much was the powder coating? $300 add $200 stashed and bingo I have tyres.
Ok still $100 short but that's easy to find compared to $500.
Why the hell would you tell a women that you got rims and a swingarm powder coated for $100.. plan stupid.
Especially when you have told them it will cost $300.... and that's a deal!
Over exaggerate the price, come in under budget and have cash to spend.... have you learnt nothing?![]()

Crikey... what fucking concern of hers is it how and when you spend money?
A man after my own words.... I could not have said it better....obviously not to the wife as that would mean sleeping with the dog and to be honest he stinks and his tongue is not something you want near your jewels... after all I'm not an Aussie.
BUT there is a time in your life when you just ignore all common sense and just do it....(Christmas is a great time as money is just spent - tyres are hidden in the festive spending period) RG got new tyres as did the GSXR11 which got a new rear. Yep three f#cken tyres in one go. That dam hurt.
It did not hurt as much as falling off on the kids track at the Honda camp in Jan and breaking 4 ribs. That dam hurt and still does. Home brew, tramadol and codeine is the only way to sleep and that is in a lazy boy chair, cant lay down in a bed and its been 10days.... cant cough, laugh, sneeze (worst) etc
But I have made progress and it was great... to have a rolling chassis.
All the bolts have been plated, bearings replaced. Everything new.
Yes that is red grease on the axel bolt. The sprocket bolts are M10 x 1.25 fine, fitted perfectly in to the crush drive. Just need to get some nice looking nuts. Wife has been saying that for some time but hey I need 5 and are on the look out.
Front is installed, again everything is new, forks are standard RG forks with Rick lance Emulator kit fitted.
Discs are RGV250 as are the caliper's still under revamp.
The aim is to have an RG500 that looks standard but with a modern twist, tyres and brakes with suspension to match.
So far all good.

Looking good...Here is a picture of the new torque bar for the rear caliper mount, the old one went to the frame. No good for the GSX600F caliper.
Anyone got a GSX600F rear Disc?
Lets look closer.....
My worst fear was confirmed.... no the wife has not found the tyre receipt. Worse.
Interference.
What a f#cker... I guess a press will bend the torque bar a bit and no one will be wiser. Annoys me that 5mm has caused this issue.
Saying that when I did my Katana and fitted a 170 rear I had to bend that one too, but I expected to bend that one.
