Turned the crank around, we now have a timing cut out for the ignition... what were the chances of fucken that up.
Oh am I still bitter ..... No I think 2 yrs of sulking as allowed me to get over it.

Here is an interesting point... a few people commented on the amount of three Bond I used to join the crankcases first time, I had to agree it did look ugly.
But when I opened the crank cases there was not three bond flowing all over the place, there was a little that had run in the the crank cavity.

So... there had to be a better way. Simple use less...LOL... here is a vid on what it should look like.

From memory I applied the gooo to the bottom crank case... read the manual and it said to apply to the top, well F me.

Next on the job list is the tank, there is a little rust from sitting, FA but its there.
I did the heaps of nuts and bolts in the tank with some petrol and put it in my ute for a few weeks to shake it up and then drined.
Did a good job but this stuff is very cool. i will update when I do it... obvious need 10 beers to do it right. Any less and it will be a F up. LOL

An update - sort of...

Still inspired me to have a trawl back through pages of metallic lewdness.

Crank ... fixed

Head gasket leak.... coolant... head off.. head on...

Never buy after market head gaskets.... ever!

Motor back in... holly shit.. funny how engines get heaver...........

Start up day..........

I have primed the oil pump, added some oil to the fuel.
So it going to smoke a bit.

Front brake needs bleeding, back brake is missing the piston... waiting on parts.
Only been waiting... how long?

It took a bit of effort top start again on the RG... after the disappointment of the crank.
It just sat for a few years@!

I ordered a chain link but the sent me the wrong one, I was planning a short ride fingers crossed.
But no.....

Turn on the fuel, leak...
Turn off the fuel.

Drain bowls ... finish beer go inside... it 6pm.
Well times have changed...
LOL sure!

It goes, needs no choke... and choke floods the carbs on start.
