Thumbs up Rounded bolts or nuts? No problem = Irwin Bolt Grip Sockets

Having just sorted a pesky 8mm rounded bolt on my WR250 I thought others might find this tool as useful as I did.

The bolt in question was a radiator shroud one that is in a recess, impossible to get vice grips on, and if I used an EZ out and it snaps I'm screwed.

Got on the net and found these BOLT GRIPS being popular overseas, so contacted IRWIN to see who stocks them, Bunnings does was the reply.

They are basically a socket bit set that has a reverse spiral inside with a decreasing diameter that grips harder the more you try to undo, just like an EZ out but on the outside.

They cost a bit for what you get ($50 for the small bolt set) but am sure they'll get used plenty over the years, especially as bike nuts n bolts seem to get softer all the time.

They come in a couple of forms, these ones take a 3/8 socket drive, there are some that can be used in a drill also.
