    Let's ban petrol lawn mowers!

These lawn mowers are noisey and interupt my sleep in at 11am! Lawn mowers are usually between 90 to 110 decibels! Thats 25 decibels highers than motorsport is allowed to be! And right next door. They can be heard 4 or 5 times a week!

I thought them new Masport 4 strokes were quiet as!
Sure there are still a few 2 smoke rattlers out there, but the new gas mowers are way more livable.

That said, I've got a 300cc thumper motor in my push mower with a baked bean can stuffed with grow wool for a muffler. Now that sucker makes a racket, still it sounds better than my neighbours 1350 EVO

i deliberately bought the loudest weedeater i could find. when i'm doing manly shit, i want the neighbourhood to know.

unfortunately, i don't live in town any more, so i only annoy myself.

I have anecdotal evidence to the contrary. :-)

FWIW I have an electric mower. Only have 25m2 of lawn in total - but the cord is still a PITA.

Either use a shorter cord or use lube ... but you've found the downside of being a tightarse ..

My lawns get mowed while I am at work so bothers me not.

PS: Why would you buy a house so close to someone with a lawn mower?

Use lube? They sure do things different in Alexandra.

    Lucky I didn't mention a whipper snipper.

If he did that would be hypocrisy, he hates noise. Can he help us start a petition? Please.
