There is an old wife's tale about getting the cat at its new home and coating it paws in Butter.
The theory is it will lick that butter off and by the time it does it feels like home.
I say to hell with that.
coat the entire cat in butter.
Add some potatoes and season to taste.
roast for 1.5 hours at 170c
    Tastes like chicken..

guess who came back for the SIXTH time? I haven't told my old neighbour yet because he can't even come and pick it up as our new neighbours put a trespass on him... what to do..

Sure sounds like an erm 'interesting' neighbourhood. Are the trespass issuing neighbours the kind to call noise control as well?

I'm not sure, they're not very talkative, I've only talked to them once in the past couple months cause I saw the husband and his mate pull up with some dirt bikes so I went and made conversation. Apparently the old neighbour was harassing the new ones and coming on to their property un announced or something, none of my business but sounds interesting yes.

Maybe you should get a large barking (all day while you are out) dog. It could solve both issues with the neighbours and the cat.

Either that or move house this assumes that cat can't find where you have moved to........

A few months ago my mate moved house a couple of blocks away and their cat kept going back to the old place/old neighbor.

Now 'Frank the tank' is a fucking cool cat, but when they had Baby #1 he got the boot outside and was never allowed back in the house. I don't blame him for leaving though, they got him as a kitten 8 years ago then kicked him out! I still want to go get him myself from their old place as i reckon he'd be a good buddy for our cat but the Mrs won't let me .

Mate ended up getting a dog instead about a month later which i think is a bit shit really....

    Skin and dress the cat

Wrap it in bacon, put in a baking dish with a touch of white wine, bay leaves, thyme, rosemary and garlic. Add a pinch of cloves. COver adn bake at 350 degrees C for about three hours - remove cat from pan and set aside to finish ... take the bayleaves and assorted herbs from the liquid, mix in soy sauce and stir in a batter of flour and cold water - simmer to desired consitency and pour over the meat ..

Serve with roast potato pumpkin, kumera and assorted green vegetables.

Reminds me! Years ago I asked my mate to take a little Kune Kune porker down to a mutual friends place because that's where he was going to himself.

A few weeks later (at the local) I asked how (Douglas) the porker was getting along, he replied what fucking porker? Haven't seen anything yet!

We both turned and looked at our mutual mate who beamed from ear to ear and exclaimed ... "delicious"! (Followed by Billy T James type chuckles!)

Just an update for those who are interested (i.e. nobody). That cat came back about a total of 8 times. I have since moved out of the house (a couple of weeks ago) but went back a few days ago to pick something up and after not having seen the cat since early July, it was back AGAIN. This time it looked really feral, sick and was seriously overweight. The owner has been drugging it and trapping it inside of the house for all this time and it managed to get out and came back to the old house. The cat is never allowed outside now and as a result is overweight, poor thing. He should have just let us keep it... now it's "damaged goods" and a little bit weird / mental. Waste of a perfectly good cat!
