Monteiths White IPA. Ok, I only got the box because of the promo girl but not too bad, especially after a bottle of red wine to clear the palate.

got me a stoke mix six.

pils: hoppy, but good. flavour, body, just good beer.
Maika: "red" - not v. red. drinkable but not by any stretch good, let alone a good red.
gold: pretty fucken bland. flat mouthfeel, odd carbonation. bitter hops.

for all nelson might grow a fine hop, doesn't mean every cunt needs to put a fuck ton in every primary.

    amber: better balanced. still too-hoppy.

Today Steinlager. Tomorrow a nice red to accompany a roast leg of lamb with the trimmings.

I went to the supermarket today intending to buy a lamb rack, but they had legs for the same price on 'special' so...

sailor jerry spiced rum. no great rum. no great spice. 40%abv and that's a large part of the flavour. rather unrefined for expensive shit.

stoke IPA: not being a fan of ipa in any form, this unsurprisingly fails to impress. infact their whole range is pretty similar, dominated by hops, pretty much all the same colour. the differences may be too subtle for me, but i'm pretty sure they're all just fokken average.
