i've had rather mixed results. some very nice, usually quite carmelly, but smoov and tasty.
last one was a wash out. dry and lacking body, with maverage flavour. suppose depends on whether it was friday arvo brewed or not...

I came across the Little Creatures brand in Wellington a few weeks back. Tried all three variants they had, but more research is needed.

On checking, the small print on my 'recent' supermarket beer purchases indicate some surprising origins. The previous dozen of Peroni was made in South Australia which was a minor disappointment, but on checking the latest dozen I see that it was indeed made in Italy. The Asahi Dry was made in Beijing, not Japan. The last Estralla Damm I bought was made in Malta instead of Spain. The Mexican Sol was made in the Netherlands.

I was recenty assured somewhat vehemently that Tiger is still made in Singapore but the box I looked at had originated in Auckland.

Long as it tastes OK I guess?

MMmmmmM. Just tried the first sip out of the polishing filter. One of the better attempts I'd say.

Saturday: Giesen Pinot Greis, a nice Marlborough drop

Yesterday: Knife Party IPA and a Hop Zombi.

Today: Lime juice, water on ice

    Bloody Mary.

With a good dash of Kaitaia Fire and a floater of fresh ground black pepper.

Nice thing about it is that it tastes virtually the same with or without the wodka - handy for liver tox and detox.

    the glenlivet founders reserve.
(that would be single malt scotch for the unenlightened)

this is what they've replaced their 12y/o with. it's been slammed in online reviews as a poor substitute. but since i don't normally drink their 12y/o I can't rightly say.

...I CAN rightly say that it doesn't hold a candle to their 18y/o.

it is however a reasonably priced drinker. which is fairly high praise since i don't normally drink scotch, and am neither hoity nor toity enough to rank single malts above blends.

I used to like Glenlivet. Until I tried Springbank...at 50% more expensive . Why do I always like expensive stuff?
