stolichnaya - up to it's usual good.

barrel 51 (premix bourbon and dry cola) - not bad. 5.3%s. bit oversweet for my liking

ivanvov (yeah right) "expertly crafted" vodka. pruduct of nuw zullund, made from local ingredients. 37% and the right price (cheap) so thumbs up all round on the making of it. bit turpsy on the nose. clear and inoffensive but nothing great. effo a mixer, wich brings me nicely to:

limoncello: i mean relaly, what the fuck else is a cunt going to do with 80 litres of lemons??

For some reason the idea of vodka made from milk offends my idea of the natural order. I understand the alcohol in all of our RTDs is made from milk so...

Limoncello can be great but the local one you can buy is crap. My own home made was better, but the genuine Italian one I had in the Italian restaurant in Turangi was magic.

Ah, Stoly Bolly darling? Back in the day I always had a bottle of Stolly in the freezer. Nestled in a thick jacket of ice. Gimlets were my favourite way of pre-loading and the vodka poured like oil and kicked like a mule.

This is quite true. Lactose does not ferment easily. But evidently, there is one yeast that will do the trick (kluyveromyces marxianus)...(Whatever that is).

Here's a link about it all, if you can be asrsed to put down your drink (from whey alcohol?) for a second and try to remember how to read stuff. Gives all the deal.

I bet all the pigs in the world hate this process...

been going through all the low abvs. all of them lack body, usually accompanied with a dry finish. honourable mentions go to te heinekevin, steiny and brb, which are less shit, but still afflicted.

Export citrus with lime and ginger, 2.5%, doesn't get any points as beer but it's a fokken refreshing beverage.

monteiths XPA, succambe to the billboard and gave it a go. 4.8%, i can't taste the eXtra, deffo hops on the nose but a pretty maverage, sligthly carmel-malty PA otherwise.

wakachangi, again. very carmel-malty. 5%. hilarious box n bottles. on special at pak n save.

Nothing wrong with vodka and milk, when there's only 1 bottle of vodka and 8 hours to kill, and a bottle or 2 of milk. No hangovers, no worries. Even if yourve been up since 6 or earlier the day before. Them were the days and nights. Wainuiomata.

current drink is ice cold Guiness. It was in the fridge. Then the freezer for a chill.

Funny you should say vodka and milk, whilst Lucy in the sky with diamonds was chilling a mate and I one day mixed a bottle of milk and bottle of vodka in a bowl over ice and it was surprisingly nice then we added a bottle of opal nera and the rest of the night was just fantastic
