Why bother? If it's just for the sound then having to deal with re-jetting and all of that is a bit of a hassle to get a batbatbatbat noise.

Save your money and put it towards getting some nice gear, or even better, a new bike once you have your full

no im hoping for a wee increase in power, the sound will be a bonus as the factory ninja sounds like a microwave on defrost, was more a case of spotting a sweet set of pipes on trade me and then also noticing the same trader has a k&n filter also, for the price i reckon i cant go wrong and its hardly guna stop me buying the gear i want/need and a sweet zx when my fulls roll around

Learn to read your plugs. Do a plug chop at low, medium and high revs. Plug chop is just when the motor is in the correct rev range pull in the clutch and hit the kill switch. The pull the plug and see its condition. If it reads rich in those conditions then you will be close to ok to fit the pipe and filter. If not then you will need to re-jet.
