    Leather jacket repairs

    Greetings all,

Can anybody point me in the right direction for a place in Auckland, preferably city or North Shore that will make good repairs to leather jackets? My zip on my right sleeve is completely stuffed after my accident and I need to get it repaired?

If you do know of someone can you PM me their contact details, or if they don't mind just post it back in this thread.

    Cheers guys
    John

Or if that fails, you could try going to Kerrie at MSW in St Kevin's Arcade.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

Well I dropped in my jacket yesterday (Thursday 3rd May) and then picked it up today (Friday 4th May).

The jacket looks and feels brilliant, not only did Kerrie sort out my busted zipper but she also tappered my sleeves so now they are tighter and won't let so much air/rain into them.

All in all, brilliant service, fair price!! Well done Kerrie and thanks to those who recommended MSW.

hi guys found this via google

just for my peace of mind, what happened was I put too much force in my jackets pockets and it ripped. The damage is about 1 inch

So I sent to my tailor to mend it but I can see the stitching lines.

i attached image of the damage (after being sewn) http://i.imgur.com/PrH3lJK.jpg

what i want is this repair as per youtube videos below:

I was wondering if this is patchable or repairable back or close to original? I saw videos on YouTube that people use some sort of glue and then colour it up to disguise. I don't mind the colour that much if it's not too obvious but more so the stitch cracks.

This happened on both my pockets.

Just for my peace of mind let me know if this is salvageable? I will also come see you tomorrow morning

    Regards
    James
