    SV650 front end improvement.

I just thought i'd pas on my experience with my SV650,
The SV is notorious for having an over hard rear shock and an over soft front.
The result is a very uncomfortable ride.
So far I've wound my back shock preload down to the softest it can be.
Ive removed the front spring spacers and fitted spacer tubes 30mm longer
the fork oil is now 25 weight --yea 25
the result is a front end that works bloody well and the bike feels (almost) like its on rails
    Yep its the simplest things

    Sounds good Frosty.

My CB900 is pretty uncomfortable also (bumpy as!) and I'm sure it could be improved somewhat, if I knew exactly what to do with it.

What was the weight of the fork oil you replaced Frosty?

Ahh, the good old wind in too much preload & fill the forks up with molasses trick.

Bet it works just great on those fast stutter-bump corners.

    Hydraulic lock anyone?

Youda thought so wouldn't ya dave--I was thinking this aint gonna work
But after 2 race meetings and a track day at Pukie and Taupo the front end is very very well behaved -it even stayed on track around the hairpin at puke and Taupo
