    Different sized wheels?

    Hi all,

I've got a written off Balius that I'm parting out, and the tyres on it are pretty decent, and my GPX-250 is in need of new tyres. The GPX currently has a 130/90 on the back (according my service manual it should be 130/80...) the Balius has a 140/70. Similar width and profile differences in the front tyre.

Would I need to swap the whole wheel out to use the Balius tyre? And if so, is this a) even possible and b) wise?

Don't do it, the 130's are both cross plys the 140 a radial and the radial needs a wider rim to work properly. Don't swap the rim either as the gpx suspension and geometry is not set up for radials so in your words "not wise". sell the balius wheels and tyres and put the money towards the wright tyre.
