I have the same problem, removing the breath guard in my helmet helped.
On really cold days I use something called a fog off mask, it has wire across the top which you bend to the shape of your face to stop the breath getting to your glasses it's about the only thing I've found that works.

Cracking visor a tad works well for me to a point, the visor only clears fogging after some time in heavy rain otherwise generally works. Iv'e used both Maguiar's plastic polish and also aerosol spray Pledge with success. If my glasses get wet behind the visor they fog and i have to stop and wipe em dry or take em off, really a pita but contacts are out of question for my eyes (astigmatic) and need to wear glasses to ride safely, sometimes with them off is safer but i can't read street signs then .
Mates reckon gone blind from HEY! HEY! I''m, over here!

Anyone tried and tested the new anti-fog visor inserts selling on Trade Me, endorsed by the shoe maker? Only problem i can see with these (pun there) is you have to buy a new one at helmet replacement, not a biggy if they actually work like they say.

Raise the visor you soft nonce. I've been doing it for years, ride with it open about a cm, then exhale downwards and you won't have an issue

I know all about this problem. Don't use Pledge or any similar wax-based product on your glasses. That's just stupid advice.

There is no cure but there are some remedies. Here are a couple:

Breathe through your mouth and use your top lip to make sure exhaled air heads in the direction of your neck, rather than up into the helmet.

Make sure your neck warmer or jacket collar aren't making a nice snug fit around the bottom of the helmet.

Meh, anti-fog pinlock insert for the visor keeps the visor clear. Crack the visor open to the smallest opening at low speeds keeps the glasses clear. No fancy sprays or potions on either, just use glass cleaner. Vents on helmet stay open on small setting, seems to work for me.

I got a fogoff mask from Cycletreads and it works a treat. I just did a 3000k ride to the south island and back and never had a problem with a fogging visor. Basically all of your breath goes out a tube that goes down past you chin and can't get back into the helmet

It may be a problem with glasses as the bit over you nose sits quite high and may get in the way of your glasses, have a look at the pic in the link. When I wear my sunnies at the same time they sit high but are still OK.

Same one I've got, works great and keeps the neck warm very well too. Doesn't get in the way of my glasses at all either.

You can't assume that it will work for everyone. Are you a chinless, jew-nosed, chipmunk-cheeked baldy with a mono-brow and a slightly deformed jaw? If so you would experience the same issues I did with the damn thing. Lot of money to blow on something that causes panic attacks.

It was a little difficult to get used to especially since it restricts breathing a little but after a while I got used to it so much I barely notice it

If you are a chinless, jew-nosed, chipmunk-cheeked baldy with a mono-brow and a slightly deformed jaw or not, it is most important to keep breathing before worrying about fogging up. Some good points all the same

Yeah I think the size and shape of your nose/jaw makes a big difference - anytime I try anything like one of those masks you're supposed to wear while sanding stuff my glasses fog up.

Bought a neck tube recently to pull up over my nose and keep me warm riding in the cooler temps, same with that, have to keep the visor fully open around town (which kind of defeats the purpose), although on the open road the visor seal on my helmet isn't all that great and there's enough airflow to keep the specs clear.

Never been able to use the nose guards/chin curtains which came with my helmets either for the same reason.

definately would not put pledge on my lenses, that stuff has cleaners in it that are not so good for my expensive lenses, normally ride with the visor cracked a fraction but i must admit to being guilty of wearing contacts to the brass this year to avoid any such issues, and was pleased i did with the dousing we got on the return trip
