    So CoNfIrMeD then

The picture taken outside the old Mataura rail station, a real gem and I certainly hope powers that be don't bulldoze it as a lot of historic buildings have succumbed to, there is not many of these left in N.Z.

Memories of living in the town as a kid revolved around our backdoor playground "the river". I can remember the falls being blasted with dynamite to help ease the water flow bottleneck at the bridge after major floods.

Plenty of local history, famous for it's trout fishing, Cardigan Bay, industry. My grandad was king pin for 8 years ... all in book " The City of The Falls" at a library or in brief here...

This stockyard and homestead are on a nice winding road that would be best travelled when not angry.

Correct there is no road at calm bay. You would have to cross the lake

Wouldn't have known it without the second pic, definetly nowhere near Calm Bay, reason: as a duck flies it's 15 powerpoles West from our old duck pond ( under the 15th pole) Been a bit of lead shot into thart direction over the years

Try get out and ride as paint dries between coats, that farm has some history.

Did you leave your gun at home one day and throw pebbles at the hill instead?

K procastinated enough, saw another bike looked like Clairsky's so have waited a wee while to give others a chance, but seeing as a nice day, others should be out searching for a new tag me thinks.

Passed a mob bikes heading other way, like minds think alike.

Anticipating Grover eventually confirms as is busy making mousetraps but no amount of cheese rolls is going to catch me...i'm over them, kids better start selling chocolate bars.

Here is next wee Southland ride. There are plenty of lambs, daffodils, and flowering gorse in the hills at this time of year...er.enough clues there.

Here is the tag ... clearly it is on Hiway 96

Look at that beckoning road, how could you not be out riding. Happens this spot is across road from an old mate of mine's but since moved and house gone, so I know where...do you?

For a bonus...( prize of 1 dozen frozen cheese rolls 1 year past their use by date if you want them), see if you can find this nearby shed ...enjoy the ride

    Good on ya fella.

Was funny when they put those new powerpoles in, a couple fell over during the night and the powerlines were nearly touching the ground.

Did you go all the way into winton afterwards? Or go back down tussock creek rd?
