I will get a couple of bottles of wine to have at the prison so I (Maha) I forgot I was not riding for a moment, don't have to carry any extra weight.

Please be specific with what you want, and be happy to accept and pay for, what ever is purchased for you.

    What an awesome offer.

Am quoting this post for posterity. Last time I saw it the first part was missing and it did not make any sense.

Um, so yeah, my new tyres which turned into new brakes now look like turning into new bearings and possibly a new belt...so unless it gets even worse (and it couldn't, could it? Could it?? ) hopefully I'll have the bike back by the weekend. Don't think they'd let me take the loaner to Ohura.

...as long as you don't say where you're with the loaner Rodney , who will ever know?

It'd be fun, too, it's a scorpio! Quite enjoying it, I swear it has a nicer gearbox than mine...

On the alcohol front, pretty sure I'm going to need more than a few stiff drinks once I get the bill, but I won't pre order anything just in case.

Hm, I didn't know you were supposed to stick close to the shop with a loaner.

He might be a bit dubious about my 'o' is for orsome riding skills .

But yeah he said titirangi was ok but he wouldn't be keen on me taking it as far as Hamilton, for example.

A loaner bike is to replace your bike while it's being worked on. To me that at least implies that anything you had planned to do on your's is OK.

I really think you should shut up and stop thinking about it... it can always get worse

uh... no... definitely not *thinks about crossing rivers, dropping it in rough stuff*... yeah, I look after the loaners and try not to go through more than a tank of gas... I even fill it a bit too.

Admittedly I was thinking about the bike being worked on being a road bike. There are certain things I would never do with someone else's bike that I would do with mine.

Anyway, surely a weekend road trip with no undue risk to the bike would be OK? Can't say I've ever had the occasion to find out first hand.

That's some good advice right there . Probably be fine, shouldn't get ahead of myself. Put another way...only 5 days to go, yay!
