Just as well. By then I should be well healed and have the bike back.
And before anyone asks, yes, I had a rather unfortunate meeting with the pavement (not of my own making). I was turning rather slowly after the lights went green a week ago last Friday (right turn before dawn in heavy rain over white paint with bright lights facing me). Next thing I know I'm on the ground and the bike is facing the wrong way. I'm saw but OK. Seems like I've cracked, or at least bruised, a rib and my ankle broke the foot peg bracket. The bike is almost getting a whole new right side.

Yep, panniers were on (don't ride without them). The right one lost a fair bit of plastic off the front corner. Probably saved the rear cowling.
Yeah, I almost can't imagine a worse set of circumstances. When I took off from the lights there was noone behind me. They must've been trying to catch the green.
Ouch indeed. I went down hard on my shoulder and suffice it to say that I won't be in a hurry to wear my pocket knife on my belt while riding again. Could've been worse though, they managed to avoid actually running me over.

OOOO......
This looks mighty tempting.
Are Hamiltonians welcome?
Possibly the accommodation might be booked up already too!
I also have space at my house on Friday night for anyone looking for a bed and a meal before our time inside..
