Just want to double check your route Maha? You list Okahukura Saddle Rd for Sunday morning to Taumarunui, instead of the more usual River Rd. Just checking, as I'll run the rest of the route on Saturday evening to check it for you (looks like a mint road too).

Was noting, as the Saturday route doesn't include the deviation from Rangiriri...

Looks like I'm adding that road to the must-ride list (I really should write them all down, can't remember most) as it's not on the official route no more...

Besides, there is no lookout when it's dark

It's in the first post where we are leaving from, the google map is just a general idea of things.

That is the fun group for sure, we had one last year trying to find Kawhia, but ended up at Nikau Caves...
    Nice road out there though

It's all pretty easy Ash..after Te Kuiti, head over the hill towards New Plymouth for about 10kms and turn left for Taumarunui, 45kms down that road is the sign for Ohura. Turn right and Ohura is 38 kms from there.
I have small printed out copy worded as such, for both days.

Yeah it looks pretty straightforward, I know all the roads heading down, just a couple of new turnoffs on the way back Sunday.

Any news about your bike? If you make it to Taupo you can always borrow my GN
